The This Old House Weston project was designed
to reflect the rustic look of an old New England barn. About
75 percent of the home was built in Bensonwood’s controlled
workshop environment. These components were then assembled
on site in Weston and, once the home was erected, Summit
Door installed the garage doors.
The two handcrafted garage doors were designed
to complement the barn-style architecture. The western red
cedar doors were customized with trim and details on both
the exterior and the interior of the garage door, making
it a one-of-a-kind design. Powder coated track and hardware
completed the doors for a more modern appeal with nylon
rollers for a smoother and quieter ride.
Summit Door, Inc., is pleased to have been
chosen as the garage door supplier for this exciting project.
